6th Grade Team

After graduating from The Evergreen State College with a degree in Creative Writing and Literature, I pursued various passions before being called to teaching. Now I teach 6th grade ELA here at Impact and I love it! I work hard with my students to create an environment in which all students feel welcome.

In my spare time I like to cook, dance, read and hike with my family. My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo.

“Hello students and families! My name is Yamil Cobo and I will be teaching 6th grade math this year. I am originally from the Bronx, New York and graduated with a degree in Psychology with minors in communication and sociology while also being part of the honors program at Fairfield University. I am currently pursuing a M.Ed at Boston University. In my spare time, I like playing video games, basketball, going to the gym and cooking. I am a firm believer in education and want to provide my students with an opportunity to learn math and life skills!

“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen” - Michael Jordan”

Hi, my name is Kevin Schwartz. I have a degree in Computer Science, Physics and Math. When I’m not in the classroom, grading, or planning for class, I like to watch anime, play video games, lift weights, and be outside. This is my second year at Impact, but my 6th year in education. I am looking forward to meeting you and teaching you about science!
